The Natal Sharks are based in Durban, Kwazulu Natal. They are one of South Africa's top Rugby clubs and play in the Super 12 and the Premier Division of the Absa Currie Cup.

At the end of Marine Parade, uShaka Marine World combines a natural marine park aquarium (one of the world's largest) and a water theme park.
The city centre boasts a mix of its ethnic and colonial heritage: sightseeing includes fine examples of colonial architecture and mystical firewalkers and Zulu warriers.
