Our football tours offer the opportunity to train and play at the homes of some of the world’s greatest clubs, and Chelsea is certainly no exception. Part of the top flight of the Premier League, Chelsea has a long and eccentric history, that has seen many ups and downs, but since 2003 (thanks to the arrival of Mr Abramovich’s billions) Chelsea has enjoyed a stellar period of success.

Chelsea’s training ground has been recently relocated from a small base close to Heathrow airport to a new state of the art facility in Cobham, Surrey with 38 grass pitches, indoor area and a brand new generation astro-turf. The facility is the envy of many professional clubs around the world. Here, players will receive professional training, developing the same skills and techniques used by Ashley Cole, Ramires, Torres and many more of football’s biggest names.

One of the most famous football clubs in England, Chelsea has a long, unique and idiosyncratic history, and has experienced both the highs and the lows of the game. From the glamorous, talented and flamboyant team which emerged in swinging London in the mid-1960s, to the financial and on-pitch woes that almost forced its extinction in the early 1980s. From the rejuvenated side of the mid-1980s that returned it to stability, to the cosmopolitan renaissance of the late-1990s, which saw it challenge for honours again, to a takeover in June 2003 which contributed to its current status as one of the dominant teams in the country and a new powerhouse in Europe.

At the Cobham Fairmile Premier Inn, you can be assured of a warm welcome and spacious, clean, en-suite rooms. Meals are served next door at the Fairmile Arms, with a choice of good quality menu with wide selection of options for children. Access is available to a meeting room, large green space for ball games and golf driving range.

Unless otherwise advised, each programme will include a behind the scenes stadium tour of the home of the 2004/05 and 2005/06 Barclays Premiership Champions. Pupils will be able to retrace the steps of John Terry, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba by walking up the players’ tunnel and into one of the most famous football arenas in the world! You will also visit the Centenary Museum, documenting over 101 years of football at Stamford Bridge.

A typical football tour package includes:

  • Pre-departure information service
