Glasgow’s Bannerman High School recently returned from a once-in-a-lifetime school football tour to Valencia CF, one of the most successful clubs in Spain and Europe. The school, who experienced a 5-day trip during October half term, had a fantastic experience at one of inspiresport’s most popular destinations.
The group experienced six sessions of professional football training from the Valencia CF professional coaches. They trained on the same complex as the first team, with its myriad of high quality playing areas, including numerous 7-a-side and 11-a-side astroturf pitches, and two full-sized grass pitches.
A behind the scenes tour of the 55,000-seat Mestalla Stadium gave the budding sports stars the opportunity to see what the players see as they’re preparing for their Primera División games, which combined with the high quality training sessions and 4* accommodation for the duration of their stay allowed them to experience the lives of professional footballers.
