Sevilla FC – The Club
Sevilla Fútbol Club S.A.D. is a Spanish football team located in Seville and plays in Spain’s top flight, La Liga. Sevilla is the most successful club in Andalusia, winning a national league title in 1945-46, and five Copas del Rey.
On the European level, it has won three UEFA Cups (2006, 2007 and 2014) and the 2007 UEFA Super Cup. Sevilla have competed 67 seasons in the First Division and 13 in Second, a record which places as the seventh-best team in the history of Spanish league football.
They were designated by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics as the best club in the World in 2006 and 2007, currently the only team that has achieved this distinction in consecutive years. Sevilla’s main rivalry is with their cross-city rivals Real Betis in the Seville derby.
Sevilla FC Training Facilities
Train and play at the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios training complex, which is home to the Sevilla FC first team and academy. The facilities include three 3rd generation astro-turf pitches and four grass pitches, as well as the mini-stadium which is used for reserve team and youth team matches and youth academy training sessions. The club is renowned for having one of the best training academies in Spain.
If the first team complex is unavailable, your sessions will take place at Suprasports Fitness & Spa – a truly exceptional brand new multi-sports facility located on the outskirts of Sevilla. Facilities includes one superb 11-a-side natural grass pitch, one 11-a-side 3rd generation artificial pitch, five different surface tennis courts, six lane athletics track, indoor sports hall (basketball, netball, indoor football, volleyball and handball), paddle tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, state of the art gymnasium and superb spa complex. The facility also has a restaurant/café on site offering healthy menu choices in-between training and matches.
Tourist Information
Vila-real is the second biggest city in the Castellón province of the Valencian Community and is located 5km from the Mediterranean shore. Both El Madrigal stadium and the Ciudad Deportiva (Villarreal CF Training Ground) can be found in the city; with the Yellow’s home pitch situated in the city centre, while the training facility resides on the outskirts (5 minutes from the stadium).
